Flowers
Our Flowers Creative Paper Book features exquisite floral imagery from noted 17th–19th century artists and publications.
Originally produced for plant identification and collected for their beauty, botanical illustrations entered wider circulation in the 19th century via colour-printed encyclopedias and journals.
Here, these images have been thoughtfully reproduced on high-quality printed papers. Presented in a neat and compact book, pages of postcards and gift tags are perforated for easy tear-out, while greetings cards and envelopes can be cut, folded and sealed with the decorative stickers provided.
This edition highlights elegant flower studies from the richly coloured florilegium, Hortus Eystettensis, moody, theatrical scenes from Thornton’s The Temple of Flora and the soft, luminous watercolours of Pierre-Joseph Redouté, often referred to as the ‘Raphael of Flowers’. Vibrant, layered bouquets by Dutch still-life artist Rachel Ruysch and illustrations from the periodical Curtis’s Botanical Magazine are also included.
Designed for special handwritten correspondence, papers in this eye-catching collection can also be used for decorative craft projects. A premium finish makes the book ideal for gifting, as well as for personal use.
